Effect of annealing on torsion giant impedance of Co-rich amorphous wires with vanishing magnetostriction
Torsion giant impedance ~TGI! ratio, (DZ/Z)j , has been measured in as-cast and annealed ~Co0.94Fe0.06)72.5B15Si12.5 amorphous wire. Two-step current annealing has been employed: pre-annealing ~550 mA, 2 min! plus current annealing under torsion stress ~33 p rad/m, 450 mA, up to tann5105 min!. Pre-annealing results in a drastic increase of (DZ/Z)j ~from 155% to 260%! and decrease of the asymmet...
متن کاملMAGNETO-OPTICAL KERR EFFECTS OF AMORPHOUS Nd-Co FILMS
The complex off-diagonal components of conductivity tensor (g:, = 4, + i<,) of Co, a-Nd-Co and a-Y-Co was obtained by measuring magneto-optical Kerr effects, reflectivity and transmissivity in the range of fw = 0.8 eV 5eV. Nd-Co showed much greater wcr;, than Y-Co and the difference was deduced to be due to 4f T--t 5d 1. electron transition of Nd.
متن کاملRelating surface roughness and magnetic domain structure to giant magneto-impedance of Co-rich melt-extracted microwires
Understanding the relationship between the surface conditions and giant magneto-impedance (GMI) in Co-rich melt-extracted microwires is key to optimizing their magnetic responses for magnetic sensor applications. The surface magnetic domain structure (SMDS) parameters of ~45 μm diameter Co69.25Fe4.25Si13B13.5-xZrx (x = 0, 1, 2, 3) microwires, including the magnetic domain period (d) and surface...
متن کاملBi-Directional Giant Magneto Impedance Sensor
A thin film giant magneto impedance (GMI) based on magnetic field sensor has been developed using electrodeposited Ni-Fe permalloy. Chemical composition, surface morphology, and magnetic properties of Ni-Fe permalloy were characterized as a function of plateup parameters, and process conditions were established to deposit a Ni-Fe thin film with a high permeability (~1000) and a low coercivity (...
متن کاملOperating Point Self-Regulator for Giant Magneto-Impedance Magnetic Sensor
The giant magneto-impedance (GMI) magnetic sensor based on the amorphous wire has been believed to be tiny dimensions, high sensitivity, quick response, and small power consumption. This kind of sensor is usually working under a bias magnetic field that is called the sensor's operating point. However, the changes in direction and intensity of the external magnetic field, or the changes in sensi...
